Welcome to our 3rd grade class! I'm so excited to begin the year with such a fabulous group of kids!
This is my 5th year at Montclair Elementary. I spent my first year here as a 2nd grade teacher and then came up to 3rd grade. Before coming to Montclair, I spent a year teaching Kindergarten at a private school in Burke, Virginia. I have also worked with children of every age, from infants through 5th grade. I love Montclair because of the emphasis on Lifeskills and the Multiple Intelligences. Through the emphasis and understanding of both of these, we are able to help students reach their full potential. I love to learn in different ways, as do the students at Montclair. My best smart is art smart. I'm working on the other smarts to make them just as strong! Like my students, I use my lifeskills each day. I think my strongest lifeskill is problem solving, which helps me each day. A little about myself - I was born and raised here in Northern Virginia, spending most of my life here in Woodbridge. I am a product of Prince William County Schools - Henderson, Saunders, and Hylton. I'm very close with my family. I have one sister, Bethany, who lives in Florida with her husband who is stationed at Mayport as a Navy Pilot. We're keeping our fingers crossed that they will be able to move closer to home one of these days! I have two cats - Gingy and Gabby, my babies! In the future, I would love to have a family of my own and share my love of learning with my own children just as I share that love with your children each day! Here's to a great year! | |
